Interview Outfit: 50% of your interview success
What’s the best outfit to wear to a job interview? Selecting the right Interview outfit is not the easiest task. Τhe critical day is approaching and you start getting worried about your performance during your interview. Don’t worry, we are here to help you. You always want to dress to make the best impression indeed. You may know that the outfit you choose depends on whether you’re interviewing at a company with a formal dress code like an international company, a casual startup that is trying to step in the market or an informal job that does not require a dress code and you can wear whatever you want. Sounds good eh?

Interview Outfit: The Formal Way
The first impression you make on a person, whether it is your next employee or a person that you just met in your local coffee store is the most important one. The first thing they will notice on you is your outfit. Is your outfit suitable for an interview? If that’s the case, congratulations, the first step is done. That’s why it’s always important to dress appropriately for a job interview.
Generally, when you are interested in a formal company with a dress code you want to wear professional attire too. A good idea is to look around you: what do other people wear when they work there? The general rule is pretty much standard. For men, a suit jacket with a nice white or light blue shirt and a tie (please don’t choose one with the minions or pineapples in any weird pattern). Another idea includes a sweater with a nice shirt. For women, a blouse and dress pants will be perfect. If you are confident you can even wear a nice dress. But take care: DON’T OVERDO IT. You can also incorporate some finishing touches to your outfit like a bracelet, a necklace and for women a minimal ring.
Interview Outfit: The Informal Way / Casual Style
On the other hand, if you have an interview in an informal work environment then your life might be easier since an interview outfit, in this case, is not so standard. You can wear what you feel that compliments your body. Business casual outfits are less formal than a suit, but they are also more professional than a typical t-shirt with a stamp on it and let’s say shorts and sandals (please don’t ever appear to a job interview with such outfit). We would recommend wearing accessories since they show that you are taking care of yourself and you know how to dress well.
Interview Outfit: One Quick Tip
Let us give you a quick tip: Always dress a bit more professional than the average employee at the company. You want to impress your employee so you will need to be a little bit different than everyone else in there.
